Appropriately, the product line was first created for one of the world's finest luxury hotels, The Lanesborough on Hyde Park, across Hyde Park Corner from Buckingham Palace in London. Caroline Rose Hunt is the lady behind Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, which manages The Lanesborough. Ms Hunt and Mrs Vivian Young, her partner in Lady Primrose's Shopping English Countryside, the famed 11,000 square foot shop of antiques and unique gifts and award winning tearoom, were commissioned in 1989 to develop bathing luxuries catering to a highly discriminating world traveler including royalty and heads of states.
Ms Hunt and Mrs Young began with a visionfor a natural restorative product coupled with a passion for performance and an affinity for beauty and whimsy. Working in conjunctin with a toiletry house in England established in the 17th century, 1677 to be exact, they were allowed to review centuries of archives to fulfill their vision. Final formulations utilized sweet golden honey and rich royal jelly with other natural humectants and emollients to create a delightful collection. A natural ourpouring of the love and admiration that Caroline and Vivian had for antiques was to seek distinctive keepsakes to utilize as reusable or refillable packaging -- truly creating a gift within a gift.
Initially, several world class hotels and Lady Primrose's Shopping English Countryside were home for the Royal Bathing and Skin Luxuries. Today, Lady Primrose's products are selectively represented throughout the United States and worldwide.
